On 15th June 2017 (Thursday), TAURON Arena, Krakow, will host the mega-stars Linkin Park. The concert will be part of the 5th Impact Festival. The band members are: vocals – Chester Bennington, percussion – Rob Bourdon, guitar – Brad Delson, bass – Dave “Phoenix” Farrell, DJ Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda – vocals, keyboard, rhythmic guitar.
These Grammy, American Music Award and World Music Award winners play what is commonly thought of as rock music, but is in fact a hybrid of metal, electronic music, rap and other styles. The group released six studio albums between 2000-2014, has sold 50 million albums worldwide, has gone platinum in 43 countries and 5 continents, and has a huge, loyal fanbase around the world, all of which has made Linkin Park one of the most popular groups in Asia, Europe and South America. They also have over 62 million fans on Facebook.
Their first album, Hybrid Theory, was the strongest debut of the 21st century – it sold well over 10 million copies. They have worked with Jay Z, among others, producing the joint album Collision Course which included the smash hit Numb. Songs like In The End, From The Inside and Breaking The Habit have risen to the top of the charts and warmed up tens of thousands of people at their concerts. Linkin Park are currently working on their seventh album. Let’s hope that it is released before they come to Poland.
The concert will take place in one of the largest and most modern sports and entertainment arenas in Poland. It is only 4km (to the South-East) from the main Market Square, near the beautiful Park Lotników (Pilot’s Park). The arena boasts three levels of seating, advanced multimedia systems and excellent acoustics.
