Van Gogh Alive Kraków, 20th August – 8th January 2017

Three thousand works of art in the historic railway station building!

Since 20th August 2016, the Historic Main Railway Station Building in Kraków has been hosting the world-famous Van Gogh Alive exhibition – an inspiring collection of artworks of a kind that has not been seen in traditional museums. Lyrical narration, sublime paintings and poignant classical music will transport you into the magical world of van Gogh.

Although the artist was not recognized in his lifetime, after his death he is regarded as one of the greatest post-impressionist painters in history. His creativity, with its lively colours and emotional impact, has had a huge influence on the 20th century art.

In this multimedia exhibition, guests can discover over 3 thousand works by the artist, projected as large-scale images bursting with colour. Van Gogh Alive combines projection of images with cinematic surround sound, thanks to SENSORY4TM technology, a contemporary system which creates space on every gallery surface: on the walls, on columns, on the ceilings and the floor. Here, everything is within arm’s reach, and everyone can follow their own path through the exhibition, discovering and experiencing the artist’s creativity in their own way. This multimedia exhibition is an excellent way to spend time with the family and to have a multi-sensory experience that is one of a kind.

A very interesting approach to present the art. You can find yourself inside a painting! I especially liked huge visualization of the night skies paintings. Tickets are too pricey though. Should be 30% off in my opinion.
