Who does not need a relaxing time with a glass of beer or good wine, who does not dream of ending a week of sightseeing or working with a weekend full of dancing or listening to live music? If you are in Krakow, the possibilities are plenty, and the choice is so wide that sometimes it is hard to decide where to go. That is why we chose five unique venues we think are worth visiting.
House Of Beer – 150 types of beer from all around the world
This temple of beer located at św. Tomasza street, near the Small Market Square, offers over 150 types of bottled beer and 9 types of draught beer in a spacious cellar and a bar at the ground floor. Wide choice of flavours, many types of beer made with traditional methods, makes this place a favourite both for connousieurs and those who drink beer occasionally. Everyday you can buy a big beer of the day for 5 PLN.
Baroque Restaurant & Coctail Bar – a wide variety of cocktails
A trendy cocktail bar located at Sw. Jana 16 street, not far from the Main Market Square combines glamorous Paris style decorations with modern interior design. Impressive choice of cocktails, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, skilled bartenders – it all makes people return to Baroque for more. However, Baroque Restaurant & cocktail bar is not only famous for drinks – it serves delicious food and… good dance music. The dance floor upstairs is an ideal place for a weekend disco party.
Harris Piano Jazz Bar – no jazz, no fun
Iconic place just 50 m away from the City Hall in the Main Market Square. Live music concerts are a highlight of this place. It is, however, not only jazz which is played here. Everyone can spend a relaxing evening in Harris Bar – the combination of good drinks, delicious salads and fantastic music guarantees a wonderful time.
Klub Re – tank beer in a tree-lined garden in the Old Town
Re club located in the very centre, yet at a quiet street, has a charming beer garden surrounded by trees, as well as a cellar with a bar serving unique beer. It is one of few bars offering fresh unpasteurised tank beer and Tokay wine from a barrel served in jugs.
Drukarnia Jazz Club – the southern side of the Vistula river
The only bar in our top 5 which is not located in the very city center. You can get there crossing the Vistula river by a famous footbridge – Kladka Bernatka – joining the Old Town with Podgorze. Drukarnia is a place with charming atmosphere created by interior decorations, good drinks and live music. On warmer days you can sit outside enjoying your coffee or a glass of beer away from the crowds of the Old Town.
